Pr. Khaoula Khwaldia is an internationally recognized expert in bio-based packaging and sustainable materials, specializing in the valorization of agri-food waste using green chemistry. She has authored 64 peer-reviewed publications (3,297 citations, H-index 31) and has been ranked among the top 2% of most-cited scientists worldwide by Stanford University. Her research focuses on developing biodegradable, high-performance food packaging from agro-industrial by-products, supporting circular economy and sustainable food systems. She has coordinated and contributed to 15 national and international research projects and has received several recognitions, including the Tunisian Research Awards 2026 and the Best Research Proposal Award at the QUWA Forum (UAE, 2025).
